I do not owe you an explanation.
I do not owe you a reason, a conversation, a debate. 

I do not owe you an apology.
I do not owe you a sympathy, a kindness, a please.

I owe you only what I am prepared to give, willingly.
You owe me only what you are prepared to give, willingly.

Sometimes, this means I receive less than what I want. 
Sometimes, this means you receive less than what you want.

These plain facts can make us angry. 
They can make us scream. 
They can drive us deep into a bitter, stinking hole of regret and fury and fear.

But it does not mean I owe you anything.
Nor you, me.
